AUCKLAND, New Zealand, The Supreme Sikh Society of New Zealand, one of the country’s leading Sikh organisations, has announced its new committee for the 2026–28 term. Responsibilities across a range of roles were assigned during the society’s annual general meeting.
Naib Singh has been appointed president, while former president Kartar Singh will remain involved with the committee. Lali Ranvir Singh has been named vice-president, Manjinder Singh Bassi secretary general and Daljeet Singh joint secretary general.
Harjinder Singh Mand has been appointed treasurer, Inderjit Singh Minhas joint treasurer and Rajinder Singh Jind in-house auditor. Lakhwinder Singh will serve as librarian, Arjun Singh Bhatti as Ōtāhuhu chairperson and Ravinder Singh Dhirowal as project manager.
Among the area and portfolio appointments, Manjit Singh Bola has been named Takanini chairperson, Satnam Singh Sangha chairperson for religious affairs, Harmesh Singh Sangha event organiser and Ashwinder Singh Bhatti health, safety and security organiser. Barinder Singh Jinder will be caretaker and stock controller.
Dilbag Singh has been appointed disaster resilience planner, Hardeep Singh grocery and langar planner, Paramjit Singh sports joint chairperson, Amarjit Singh Lakha education joint chairperson, Joga Singh caretaker and maintenance, and Harwinder Singh Danny sub-caretaker and maintenance.
The society’s professional team will include the Hon Matt Robson, legal adviser and former cabinet minister; Bhavin Sanghavi, auditor; Joel Ram, accountant; Shobna Golian, property matters; and Ajay Kumar, mortgage adviser to the Supreme Sikh Society of New Zealand.
The new committee has distributed responsibilities across members to advance the management of the gurdwara, religious and social services, langar, education, sport, safety and community work in a more organised way. The 2026–28 team is expected to play an important role in advancing the Supreme Sikh Society’s religious and community activities over the next two years.
