KYIV, Ukraine, 3 September (Kulwant Singh Khairabadi): Russia launched drone attacks on Ukraine’s capital for a seventh consecutive day on 2 September. The latest strikes damaged several locations, including residential areas, and at least 11 people were reported wounded.
Several residential buildings in Kyiv were affected, and reports said a university building was also damaged. Air-raid warnings forced residents to move to shelters and other safer locations.
Power supplies disrupted in Odesa
Energy infrastructure in the Odesa region was also targeted. The attacks disrupted electricity for more than 350,000 homes. Ukrainian officials said repair crews were working to restore the power system.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy renewed calls for the international community to increase pressure on Russia. He warned that Ukraine’s electricity and energy infrastructure could face further large-scale attacks in the period ahead.
Continuing drone and missile attacks in the long-running Russia-Ukraine war are making conditions increasingly difficult for civilians.
